Pendant Lighting

Lighting has a large effect on how a kitchen looks and how easy it is to work in. The fixtures in this catalogue are styles we install regularly in Vancouver kitchen renovations, including island pendants, recessed lights, under-cabinet lighting and decorative ceiling fixtures.

A well-lit kitchen uses three layers. Recessed lights provide even general light, under-cabinet lighting puts task light directly on the counters where you prepare food, and pendants over the island or dining area add character. Putting each layer on its own dimmer means the same room can be bright for cooking and soft for the evening.

• Pendant size and spacing: pendants are scaled to the island and hung so they do not block sight lines.
• Under-cabinet lighting: LED strips give continuous light without visible dots on the counter.
• Colour temperature: 2700K to 3000K suits most kitchens and should be consistent across fixtures.
• Finish: fixtures are matched to the cabinet hardware and faucet.
