QUAY

QUAY Construction Warranty

We finish the project. Then we stand behind it.

Every QUAY project concludes with a detailed handover walkthrough, a documented deficiency list and our WE-FIX-IT-FREE 365 limited workmanship warranty for covered building systems and operational work completed by QUAY.

01 Detailed Walkthrough

We inspect the completed project with you before final handover.

02 7-Day Punch List Target

Standard deficiencies are targeted for correction within seven days whenever parts or special orders are not required.

03 365-Day Warranty

Covered workmanship affecting building systems and operations is supported for 365 days after handover.

04 WE-FIX-IT-FREE

When a qualifying malfunction results from covered QUAY workmanship, we return and correct that work.

Our Handover Standard

We do not disappear when construction ends.

A renovation is not finished simply because the tools leave the site. Before handover, we walk through the completed work with you, document outstanding deficiencies and organize the items that still require attention.

Once the project has been handed over, our 365-day workmanship warranty provides a defined path for covered operational issues arising from work performed by QUAY.

01 Before Handover

Detailed project walkthrough

We review the completed project together and identify visible deficiencies requiring correction.

02 Punch List

Deficiencies documented

Outstanding items are organized into a clear punch list so nothing is relying on memory or informal conversation.

03 Correction

7-day completion target

Standard deficiency work is targeted for completion within seven days after the walkthrough.

04 After Handover

365 days of warranty support

Covered operational workmanship remains supported after the completed project is turned over.

The seven-day target applies to standard punch-list work. Items requiring replacement parts, custom fabrication, special orders, manufacturer support, inspections, third-party access or other dependencies may require additional time.

WE-FIX-IT-FREE 365

What the Warranty Is Designed For

Something we installed should work as intended.

The warranty is designed to address qualifying workmanship failures in covered work performed by QUAY — not to transfer responsibility for every component or condition in the property to the contractor.

Covered Example A plumbing connection installed during the renovation develops a leak because of a defect in the installation.

If QUAY performed that installation, the work remains within the warranty period and no exclusion applies, we return to correct the covered workmanship.

WE-FIX-IT-FREE
Different Situation An existing pipe outside the renovation scope later fails and causes a leak.

The fact that the failure occurs after a QUAY renovation does not make previously existing or third-party work part of QUAY's warranty.

Existing work remains separate
Warranty Service

Clear issue. Clear response.

When something is not operating correctly, we first identify what failed, determine whether the affected work falls within QUAY's project scope and then establish the appropriate correction.

01 Notify QUAY

Tell us what happened.

Provide a description of the issue and, where possible, photographs or video showing the condition.

02 Review

We review the project scope.

We confirm whether the affected component or system was installed, repaired or altered by QUAY.

03 Diagnosis

We determine the cause.

Warranty coverage depends on whether the malfunction is attributable to covered QUAY workmanship rather than an excluded or unrelated condition.

04 Resolution

Covered work gets corrected.

Once confirmed as a qualifying warranty matter, QUAY coordinates the appropriate repair or correction.

Clear Warranty Boundaries

We stand behind our work. Not work we did not perform.

A clear warranty protects the client and the contractor. QUAY's warranty follows our documented project scope and does not convert unrelated, existing or subsequently modified parts of a property into QUAY responsibility.

01

Existing conditions

Components, systems, assemblies, deficiencies or conditions that existed before QUAY's work began are not covered unless QUAY specifically repaired or replaced the affected work as part of the contracted scope.

02

Work performed by others

Work performed by previous contractors, property owners, building personnel, other trades or third parties is not covered by QUAY's warranty.

03

Third-party damage

Damage, alteration, disconnection or modification of QUAY's completed work by another person after completion may remove the affected work from warranty coverage.

04

Misuse or improper operation

Failures caused by misuse, abuse, improper operation, overloading or use inconsistent with the intended function of the installed work are not workmanship defects.

05

Maintenance

Normal maintenance remains the owner's responsibility. Damage caused or materially worsened by inadequate maintenance is not a defect in QUAY workmanship.

06

Normal wear & movement

Normal wear and tear, aging, expected material movement, shrinkage, settlement and deterioration consistent with normal use are not covered workmanship failures.

07

Product or manufacturer failure

A defect inherent to an appliance, fixture, equipment or manufactured product is generally subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty rather than QUAY's workmanship warranty, unless the failure resulted from QUAY's covered installation.

08

Unrelated failures

A failure elsewhere in the property is not covered merely because it affects, passes through or becomes visible within an area previously renovated by QUAY.

01

Warranty period

The WE-FIX-IT-FREE 365 workmanship warranty applies for 365 calendar days beginning on the project handover date documented by QUAY, unless a different warranty period is expressly stated in the applicable project agreement.

02

Covered work

Coverage applies only to workmanship actually performed, managed or supplied by QUAY within the documented project scope and only to the portion of that work giving rise to the qualifying malfunction.

03

Covered failure

A warranty claim must involve a malfunction or failure attributable to a defect in covered QUAY workmanship. The existence of a problem within the renovated property does not, by itself, establish warranty responsibility.

04

Cosmetic items

Visible deficiencies identified during the pre-handover inspection are addressed through the punch-list process. The post-handover 365-day warranty is intended for qualifying workmanship affecting covered building systems or operations and does not create an ongoing cosmetic-maintenance obligation.

05

Notice

Warranty concerns should be reported to QUAY promptly after discovery and within the applicable warranty period. The client should provide reasonable details allowing QUAY to identify and investigate the issue.

06

Inspection & access

QUAY must be provided reasonable access to inspect, diagnose and, where coverage is confirmed, correct the affected work. Diagnosis may require access to concealed or interconnected components.

07

Repair method

Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, QUAY will determine the reasonable repair, adjustment, replacement or re-performance required to correct the covered workmanship.

08

Unauthorized third-party work

Except where immediate reasonable action is required to prevent further damage or address an urgent safety condition, clients should allow QUAY an opportunity to inspect a reported issue before another contractor alters or repairs the affected work. Subsequent third-party work may prevent QUAY from determining the original cause and may affect warranty coverage.

09

Existing and interconnected systems

QUAY is not responsible under this warranty for failures originating in existing, previously installed or third-party systems simply because those systems connect to, interact with or are located near work performed by QUAY.

10

Applicable contract & law

This webpage is a general description of QUAY's warranty program and does not replace the applicable signed construction agreement, proposal, change orders or other project-specific documentation. Nothing on this page is intended to exclude, waive or limit any right or obligation that cannot legally be excluded, waived or limited under applicable law.

QUAY Warranty Questions

Clear answers about what happens after construction.

These answers summarize the QUAY handover and limited workmanship warranty process. Project-specific contract terms remain controlling.

Before handover, QUAY completes a detailed walkthrough of the renovation and generates a deficiency or punch list for visible items requiring correction. Standard punch-list items are targeted for completion within seven days unless materials, custom parts, special orders, inspections or other dependencies require additional time.

It is QUAY's limited 365-day workmanship warranty for qualifying post-handover malfunctions affecting covered building systems or operational work performed by QUAY. When a covered failure is attributable to QUAY's workmanship and no exclusion applies, QUAY coordinates the correction.

Depending on the specific project scope, covered workmanship can include electrical, plumbing, gas, heating, ventilation, waterproofing, roofing, siding, building-envelope and structural work performed by QUAY as part of the renovation.

Not automatically. Existing or previously installed systems remain outside QUAY's warranty unless the applicable component was specifically repaired, replaced or altered by QUAY within the documented project scope. A failure originating in existing work does not become QUAY's responsibility merely because it connects to renovated work.

Damage, alteration, disconnection or modification by owners, building personnel or third parties can affect warranty eligibility for the impacted work. QUAY's warranty is intended to cover qualifying defects in our workmanship, not subsequent damage or alterations caused by others.

Manufacturer or product defects are generally governed by the applicable manufacturer's warranty. QUAY's workmanship warranty may apply when a qualifying failure was caused by covered installation work performed by QUAY rather than by a defect within the product itself.

The pre-handover punch-list process is intended to identify and correct visible deficiencies before final project turnover. The post-handover WE-FIX-IT-FREE 365 warranty focuses on qualifying workmanship failures affecting covered building systems and operations rather than normal cosmetic maintenance, wear or expected material movement.

Contact QUAY promptly with a description of the issue, when it was discovered and photographs or video where helpful. We review the affected work, confirm whether it falls within our project scope and determine the cause before confirming warranty coverage and the appropriate correction.

Accountability After Construction

A warranty is more than a sentence in a contract.

The value of a workmanship warranty depends on whether the contractor remains available after the project is finished.

QUAY's handover process is designed to create a clear transition from construction to ownership — with outstanding items documented, responsibilities defined and a process in place if covered workmanship requires attention after handover.
